ZEST LEGAL’s humanitarian practice
About Us
Since ZEST LEGAL’s inception, pro bono service has been an integral part of our identity and what we stand for. ZEST LEGAL is driven by a deep commitment to create a positive societal impact. To fulfil this mission, we've established a dedicated humanitarian practice that provides pro bono legal services to those who cannot afford representation. Our humanitarian practice merges our passion for immigration law with our dedication to helping those in need. It embodies our core values, envisioning a fair and accessible legal system for all. This commitment traces back to our founder, Rosa Nobarani, who was inspired by those in the legal profession who tirelessly championed the rights of asylum seekers and refugees.
Our Mission
At the very heart of ZEST LEGAL’s mission is the commitment to make a positive impact in society. Our commitment to pro bono work is rooted in our vision for a just and accessible legal system. We've remained dedicated to representing migrants in every stage of their journey, striving to make a genuine difference. Our humanitarian practice is aligned with our broader focus on social and governance issues, guided by the core impact pillar to create positive societal change. This pillar underpins our work, including protecting international human rights, supporting refugees, disadvantaged individuals, nonprofit organizations, and advocating for public interest matters.
Our Focus - Compassionate Pro Bono Immigration Services
Through our dedicated humanitarian program, we provide compassionate pro bono legal services to those who need it most. ZEST LEGAL's humanitarian practice is primarily dedicated to helping refugees and individuals in dire need due to conflict, persecution, and human rights abuses. We assist those within and outside Australia seeking protection and resettlement. Despite our humanitarian focus, our services also extend to various marginalised and vulnerable groups within the migrant population, encompassing women, children, victims of domestic violence, ethnic minorities, LGBTQI+ individuals, and people of low socioeconomic backgrounds.
